Lake Balaton is the largest freshwater lake in Hungary and Central Europe. This is the view from the Szaplonczay Promenade in Fonyod in summer, looking across to the other shore. In the distance is the Badacsony mountain, one of the country's most famous wine regions. The colours of the painting are bright and vivid, capturing the summer heat and the cooling waters.
