Dear Mom,
Sometimes, people talk about Mother's Day as if it's the one day a year to remember you—as if I need a reminder marked on a calendar to think of the woman who gave me life and who shaped who I am.
The truth is, I don't want to remember you on Mother's Day.
Not because you don't deserve celebration, but because remembering you isn't something I do just once a year. You live in my thoughts every minute, every hour, and every day.
You're there in the morning when I make coffee like you taught me. You're with me when I catch myself using one of your expressions. You're present when I solve a problem using the wisdom you instilled in me years ago.
Your influence isn't confined to a single Sunday in May. It's in the way I move through the world, in the values I hold dear, and in the love I give to others.
"It's through my laughter, resilience, and compassion—all gifts from you that I carry with me always."
So, while others make their once-yearly phone calls and send their annual flowers, please know that my connection to you transcends any holiday. You are woven into the fabric of my daily life, a constant presence in my heart.
I love you not just today but every day, not just in memory but in how I live.
Forever your child,
Anshul
