If you missed the intro, my name is Anete and I'm 30 years old from Latvia. I used to live here and there. Mostly around Europe but a bit also outside of it in Georgia (country) and in Mexico. One year ago I left my home in Norway to receive cancer treatment in Mexico. While I no longer need to receive daily treatments like I did in the clinic just earlier this year I feel like I still haven't arrived yet. Life after such diagnosis still has uncertainty, discomfort and challenges and I am trying to figure it out as living the life like I did before is not really an option anymore. Don't get me wrong, there was beauty in my life and I sometimes find myself grieving that old life and old me even though deep down I know that it's time to move on into the unknown. After all, I traveled to a whole new continent not knowing what's going to happen and where will life take me.
I'm in my current home now in Peruvian Amazon and it's raining outside. The air is refreshing not like usual except for the smell of sweat that comes from my hosts favorite leather chair :) A little while ago I looked outside and believe I saw a colibri approaching flowers that grow by the house. Everything seems more romantic when it rains. The birds are loud. Maybe there's monkeys too, but I can't be sure of it. And the chickens aren't too far behind the rest of the noise. It's as if they all have some sort of agreement us humans know nothing about. Nevertheless I would rather be here than many other places in the world and I consider myself very fortunate to be here..
If you want to know more you will have to follow the journey and we can watch my story unfold before our eyes as I'm sure it will be a surprise even for me.
