If there's one thing we all know, it's that trying to source PC parts in Ireland without remortgaging the house is half the battle. After selling off my old setup, I desperately needed a new workhorse for CapCut, OBS, and chewing through heavy raw photos—preferably one that wouldn't throw a tantrum every five minutes.
So, I made the jump from Ryzen to the Intel LGA 1851 platform. Between scouring eBay for RAM and keeping an eagle eye on Amazon UK for decent deals, I managed to snag an Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF and a Palit RTX 5070 without completely breaking the bank. I even grabbed a cheap-as-chips no-name case, but threw in some better fans so it wouldn't sound like a Ryanair flight taking off in the workshop.
This new video over on the AnderMaxPC channel is a proper, unfiltered look at real workshop life. It’s got the meticulous cable management, the absolute relief when the system posts on the first try, and me getting so desperately hungry halfway through the build that I had to stop and fry up a massive, juicy beef steak just to keep the spirits up!
