Happy New Year! It is now getting old quickly, too.
As we begin the year 2025, I want to share some of my thoughts on the year, and hopefully, this will help prepare your mind for what's ahead. May the Lord help you see beyond what is visible in Jesus' Mighty Name.
There is no doubt that darkness and sinful practices will increase worldwide. However, as darkness advances in its agenda, led by the prince of darkness to wreak havoc on the earth and humanity, righteousness will grow even more. Why is this? Because the Lord Himself said so, you must realize that God's word never falls to the ground. His word will go forth to accomplish everything it is meant to achieve. The Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 60:1 declares, "Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." He makes this declaration against the overwhelming backdrop of a miserable announcement in Isaiah 60:2: "For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you." And even then, he wraps it up with the ultimate solution: "But the Lord..."
From the foregoing, we have a two-fold responsibility. The first is to believe in what God says in our hearts regardless of what we see happening worldwide and in our immediate communities. The second is to arise. To arise means to move. It means do something, say something, go somewhere, all in response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Don't forget that God will never ask you to do anything without providing everything you need for it to happen. I always take solace in the scripture verse, "Where sin abounds, there grace abounds." I am resolute that God will still do what He has promised regardless of what is happening. He said in His word, "The earth is the Lord's and all its fullness, the world and all those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters."
This year, 2025, amp up your belief. Expose yourself to the scriptures like never before so that your faith in Christ will grow on the bread of life arising from your meditation in the word. In a certain sense, become a prophet within your home and over your life and circumstances, to begin with. He said, "Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it." While this could be interpreted as God promising to feed His people, we should also see Him filling our mouths with prophetic declarations. Glory, Hallelujah!!! Be like our Father in Heaven. Look darkness straight on and speak to it. Let there be light, and there will light, a lamp to your feet and a light to your path.
We win!!!
