The other day I completed a fun side project adding perspective to one of my favorite paintings: The Wandered Above the Sea of Fog. It was a simple process with HTML and CSS (just adding layers with different images and Z-translations); what was more time-consuming was dividing the painting into layers. I use GIMP and don't have much experience, just enough to be "dangerous." 😅
For fun, this weekend, I tried to make something similar to other famous paintings:
Vag Gogh's The Starry Night
Dali's The Persistence of Memory
Magritte's The Son of Man
The results are mixed (I need to improve my Photoshop-fu), but I like the result for The Starry Night. Because of the style in which it is painted, the background looks three-dimensional without having to add any perspective, and the demo seems cool–but that's my opinion.
You can find a public demo for one of them on my website: https://alvaromontoro.com/demos/wanderer/
