Everyone is so concerned with finding new business that they forget some of the most basic fundamentals of asking. Often questions are more intuitive than the answers. Smart people ask more then answer!

When it comes to lead generation most business owners and Sales Managers do these things:
Build a website and manage SEO
Create engaging forms
Use email marketing
Take advantage of live chat
Join social media communities
Start a community
Offer high-quality content
Initiate a referral program
Work with a complementary business
Connect with social media influencers
Host a webinar or event.
And forgetting to just ask "What are you looking to buy right now?"
Yeah I know seems mad right just ask , but I got over 60% of my business when I was a sales rep by asking. After I sold my core product, the negotiations are done and we all relax and finish the coffee, I would just ask 'what else are you looking to buy?' Now I worked in office automation, more specifically the postal machines for the mail, so I would look at the other machines in the office, the photocopier, the printer, the coffee machine, the PC's and more often than not, they would tell me what they are soon in need of renewing.
Fast forward a week later and I was sat in a country pub for lunch with the Photocopier rep and the I.T. rep for my area, where we swapped info, we got so much business this way.
Or how about just asking for referrals; this was the way in the 90's when I sold windows, you offered a sweetener for a few names of friends and colleagues whom your customer would recommend you to, so you never went in cold!
This was always my vision to change the internet to be a world of buyers as much as there are sellers. Everybody buys stuff every day, as a sales person all you got to do is find the people with interest in what you sell, and that's what we built into leads4biz.net , each member (8000+ right now) tell us what they are interested in buying, giving us a pile of leads!
Ask me for more info on where to find the leads.
