Although it isn't an actual game, the Environmental Artist, Eugenia Lysa has created an outline and a visual look into a game she has created with aesthetics from FromSoftware's games with UE5 and fans are going bananas.
Eugenia Lysa works for Cold Symmetry Studio as an Environmental Artist, and she loves to create dark fantasy graphic art. Eugenia shared that Sailor Moon was "the cherished anime" of her childhood. Aside from the overly cute aesthetics, the manga's narrative covers "surprisingly mature themes," such as emotional struggles, the burden of leadership, complex morality and forgiveness, and more. The artist is aiming to explore more into that side of the story.
The project itself is super detailed, with specific intricate locations, and comprehensive lore. The game level features natural environments with developed locations like the Princess Serenity Chapel, the Moon Echo, and the Moon Castle.
She goes on to say, "It was so fun to model all of the environment props and making sure I follow official "Sailor Moon" manga artwork and at the same time – stick to the dark fantasy pillars for the visuals," the artist shared. "Everything in this environment except for the flora, soil meshes and background buildings has been modeled and assembled in Unreal Engine by me."
Eugenia posted the project originally on Reddit, initially moderators and commenters suspected that some of the details and visuals were AI-generated, it has since been restored.
