Wwise Live Automation is a real-time spatial audio tool designed to make the creation, testing, and control of Wwise sound objects more intuitive and interactive.

The application provides a visual environment where sound objects can be created, positioned, played, stopped, moved, and recorded directly while working with a Wwise project.

Audio Object Management

The main interface allows users to create and manage individual audio objects.

Users can:

* Create new sound objects and associate them with Wwise events.

* Select and delete existing objects.

* Play or stop individual objects.

* Stop all active objects at once.

* Change the visual color of each object.

* Change the listener's color for easier visual identification.

* View the selected object's name and current **X, Y, and Z coordinates**.

* Load predefined sound configurations from JSON presets.

* Automatically load all compatible sounds defined in a preset.

Each object is represented visually in the spatial canvas, making it easier to understand its position and movement within the scene.

Spatial Movement

Wwise Live Automation also provides a system for automatically moving sound objects through the 3D space.

Users can choose between several movement patterns:

* Horizontal circles

* Vertical circles on the XY plane

* Vertical circles on the YZ plane

* Movement along the X, Y, or Z axis

* Diagonal movement on the XY and XZ planes

* 3D diagonal movement

Movement can be customized using:

* Minimum Distance

* Maximum Distance

* Minimum Speed

* Maximum Speed

The application can also generate **randomized movement configurations** for all currently loaded objects. This makes it possible to quickly create dynamic spatial scenes without manually positioning every sound.

Movement can be enabled or stopped for individual objects, while the current movement settings are maintained by the application.

Recording and Playback

Wwise Live Automation includes a dedicated **session recorder** for capturing interactions with the audio scene.

The recorder can track actions such as:

* Object creation

* Object playback

* Object settings

* Object movement

* Object deletion

Recorded sessions can be:

* Started and stopped

* Paused and resumed

* Saved

* Loaded

* Played back

During playback, the application reconstructs the recorded session in real time, allowing users to review or reproduce previous spatial audio interactions.

The interface also provides visual feedback during recording and playback, including recording and playback indicators and the current session time.

The application can also communicate with a Wwise Recorder event system.

When enabled, Wwise Live Automation automatically starts the corresponding Wwise recorder event and can stop it when the recorder is disabled.

This provides an additional way to synchronize the application's recording workflow with Wwise.

Preset-Based Workflow

Wwise Live Automation supports JSON presets to define reusable configurations.

A preset can contain information about:

* Audio events

* Sound objects

* Wwise-related configurations

* Event behavior definitions

* Other parameters used by the application

The preset workflow makes it possible to prepare a configuration once and quickly reload it when starting a new session.

WWU Master — Currently Under Development

The application also includes the beginning of a more advanced system called WWU Master.

This system is intended to provide additional control over the Wwise environment through:

* RTPC control

* Behaviors

* Influences

* Behavior-based parameter changes

* Influence-specific controls

* Additional automation features

However, WWU Master is currently under development and should not be considered a usable or production-ready part of the application yet.

The corresponding RTPC, Behavior, and Influence controls are therefore currently experimental/inactive and are being developed for a future version.

The existing interface already provides the foundations for these features, but they should not be relied upon in the current version.

Current Status

The current version of Wwise Live Automation focuses primarily on:

✓ Wwise Recorder integration

The WWU Master system, including its RTPC, Behavior, and Influence functionality, is currently a work in progress and will be expanded in future development.

This separation is useful because it makes clear what the application can reliably do now, while presenting WWU Master as the next stage of development, rather than implying that those controls are already fully operational.
