Sad news regarding Frank Beard - ZZ Top 😢

Hi Drummers, I’ve just heard the very sad news that the great Frank Beard of ZZ Top has died. Some years ago I was emulating him in a ZZ Top tribute band and for around 15 years up until the pandemic I was playing a lot of blues gigs and festivals with much of my blues drumming influenced by Frank. Some only know the ‘commercial’ material ZZ Top put out on their Eliminator album, like Gimmie All Your Loving, and Sharp Dressed Man etc but prior to this ZZ Top were a blues-rock force…with Frank at the helm driving the band from behind one of his massive dragster inspired kits. My YouTube channel has numerous video lessons inspired by him and I found myself listening closer to his playing as time went on.
