Led Zeppelin’s 6th studio album, ‘Physical Graffiti’ was released 49 years ago. I started listening to them and buying their albums from the beginning…I really loved the music…and the drummer, John Bonham! Yes, there’s the famous tracks (…too many to mention!) with him playing his signature triplets between hands and feet etc but I always liked the relatively straightforward intro to this track. The actual drum intro only lasts a couple of bars but the straight-ahead rock groove thereafter is, I feel as much classic Bonham as all those other well known tracks. Here I was using in-ears for the music with my monitor headphones over those - so I was literally jamming along with Bonham….the way I used to when I was a teenager…!

PS The drums on this track aren’t particularly difficult…Grade 3 students upwards should be able to see and hear what’s going on.
