Carla Capponi -Italian Resistance
Known as little English girl" (Inglesina), Carla was a fierce partisan who skirmished with the Nazi during their occupation of Italy. She was given Gold Medal of Military Valor, only one of 16 women to receive the award. She entered politics in post war years.
