Hey! I just uploaded a new YouTube video exploring disability in classic horror films, and how these movies reflect cultural fears about bodies, identity, and difference.
I look at five films from 1924 to 1960:
The Hands of Orlac (1924)
The Phantom of the Opera (1925)
Freaks (1932)
The Spiral Staircase (1946)
Eyes Without a Face (1960)
Making a video like this is something I’ve been thinking about for a while, especially as someone who loves horror and lives with disability.
