Quick update on the job search journey: Had a meaningful meeting with my caseworker at Salvation Army last week. Her key insight? With my college degree, I should be aiming higher than minimum wage positions - apparently being "overqualified" has been working against me. She's going to help revamp my resume to better highlight my capabilities.
Unfortunately, the Staff Pro opportunity didn't pan out (they never showed up for pickup), but I'm staying focused on finding roles that match my qualifications. Currently dealing with some health issues and basic needs (need to get a bus pass, etc.), but remaining determined.
Sometimes the path forward isn't straight, but each setback teaches something valuable. Looking for opportunities that align with my education and experience, while navigating temporary challenges.
Could use some positive energy and maybe job leads in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Grateful for this community's support through this transition. 🙏
