Last night, exhausted, I sought refuge in a 24hr laundromat.
The price of rest? Nearly everything I owned.
I woke to hands in my pockets. Spent hours running through dark streets from thieves. When I finally returned, shaking, the laundromat owner didn't offer help—he threatened to call police.
