About Aaron Viehl
Making the IT world a bit better everyday
I was never the best student (greetings to my Latin and Ancient Greek teachers 👋), but somewhere between failed homework and curiosity, I found my world in IT — and never left. What started with a Microsoft FrontPage ’97 website turned into a life full of scripts, routers, and automations that somehow keep running (most days). 💻
I’m now a system administrator and CTO who believes in freedom, privacy, and security — not because I’m paranoid, but because I like knowing why things work. My daily mix includes Windows, Linux, Docker, and way too much Home Assistant YAML.
When I’m not buried in logs or network maps, I’m usually watering my plants 🌿 or admiring seals 🦭 — patient, round little reminders that calm is a superpower.
If you’re supporting me here on Ko-Fi: thank you. Truly. You’re helping me keep my projects alive, my routers online, and my coffee cup full enough to survive another 3 a.m. debugging session. ☕💚
