Nepal had been on my travel list for a long time. But like many dreams, it kept getting delayed—no travel partner, timing issues, and endless excuses. I also knew one thing clearly: if I ever went to Nepal, it wouldn’t be a regular trip spent inside vehicles. This is a country of mountains, and I wanted to walk through them.
After watching countless videos of Annapurna Base Camp, the decision was made.
The Journey (9 Days)
The trip began in Kathmandu, followed by a night bus to Pokhara. From there, the real adventure started—trekking through Jhinu Danda, Chhomrong, Sinuwa, Bamboo, Deurali, and finally reaching Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 meters.
Each day came with new challenges—endless stone steps, forest trails, cold winds, and thinning air. The temperatures dropped below zero, and altitude headaches became real. But every step closer to ABC felt worth it.
The reward came early one morning—clear skies revealing Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre, standing tall and silent. At that moment, it felt like the mountains were floating in the sky.
Weather changes forced us to slow down, rest, and adjust plans—reminding us that in the mountains, nature is always in control.
The Way Back & Beyond
Descending was both exhausting and relieving. After completing nearly 90 km of trekking over 6 days, we returned to Jhinu Danda and headed back to Pokhara.
With one day left, we explored Pokhara on bikes—riding mountain roads, visiting viewpoints, and relaxing by Phewa Lake. A perfect way to end an intense journey.
Final Thoughts
This trek pushed my limits—physically and mentally—but gave me something far more valuable in return: perspective, patience, and unforgettable memories.
Some journeys don’t just take you to places.
They change you.
