Cholula, Puebla, Mexico - Home of Marco Moreno
Today I was able to interview Marco Moreno at his home in the city of Cholula. We talked about many topics. His home, his drive, his mask, and we hope to publish the full interview soon. However, Moreno also had some cutting word for his current rival Dante Dixon that we felt needed to to be aired. And where better to air it than here at the Wrestling Report. So sit back and turn your taste buds to Spicy, because the following interview is pure chili powder.
(Gibson) Marco Moreno, do you feel like Dixon was in good fighting condition for their last match?
(Moreno) "Look, Dante won our match, sure, but was he in good fighting condition? Nah. The guy came in looking like he’d already been through a war. He was hitting his head on everything—the turnbuckle, the mat, probably the air!"
Moreno rolls his eyes and shakes his head before laughing to himself.
(Moreno) "I mean, I was out there trying to put on a show, and Dante’s over there treating his skull like a crash test dummy. A win’s a win, but at what cost, amigo? Next time, maybe focus on protecting that cabeza instead of trying to destroy it. ¡Protege tu cabeza, Dante!"
(Gibson) Were you surprised to find out that Dante Dixon passed out backstage not too long after your match?
(Moreno) "Surprised? Nah, not really. Dante’s been wrestling like his head’s made of concrete for years. The guy’s always been his own worst enemy in the ring. I mean, during our match, he was hitting his head on everything—the turnbuckle, the mat, probably the ref’s shoes. So, when I heard he collapsed backstage, I was like, ‘Yeah, that tracks."
(Gibson) "There seems to be no love lost between you two. But tell me Marco, are you looking forward to taking on Dante Dixon again? I mean, he did win the match, despite his injuries."
(Moreno) "Am I looking forward to fighting Dante again? ¡Claro que sí! The guy’s got heart, I’ll give him that, but let’s be real—I’m 2-1 against him. That’s not just a record, that’s a fact. Yeah, he got that one win, but even then, he had to collapse backstage to do it. So, if he wants round four, I’m ready. But this time, Dante, maybe leave the ‘Screw Job’ at home and bring some strategy instead.
I’m not just here to fight—I’m here to win. And if he steps back in the ring with me, he’s gonna find out why I’m still standing and he’s not. ¡Vamos, Dante, let’s see what you’ve got… if you can stay on your feet this time!"
