I got selected to attend the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum but don’t have the funding to attend it :(
This email brought immense happiness it also brought sadness and disappointment. I’ve been invited to attend the session in New York but unfortunately I have no funding to attend the event.
While I have friends that I can stay with over the course of the event, for a student in India it’s almost impossible to be able to afford flight tickets to the US.
I’m writing this post in hope of finding an individual or an organisation who would be willing to support my journey to represent India.
So if you’re here, I’m hopeful that you can contribute to help me attend the Youth Form and also share this with those who can support me!
At the end of the day even if I don’t get to attend because of my socio-economic background, I’ll be happy to have been invited.
It’s an achievement regardless right? :)
