Trying this out so let’s see! For a while now I’ve been travelling around searching for a place to call home whilst in the search to connect and build a community of musicians that value and honour Arabic Music. From moving to Beirut in 2018 to study Classical and Traditional Arabic Music to moving to Egypt in 2022 to work on original music in the hope that I’d release my first EP.
In 2024 I released my first single Aqd El Hob after a year and a half of trying to find a producer to work with - and finally was able to bring together a group of incredible musicians to shoot a live music session of the song which I am extremely proud of!
Whilst Pop Heartbreak Arabic Music is where I align myself as an artist - I have also been extremely interested in researching Arabic Maqqam systems and the impact and influence they have on our emotional and physical wellbeing. How Maqqams can be used to regulate our nervous system and be used as a healing modality. Integrating Maqqam music (Arabic, Turkish and Persian Maqqam Systems) looking at each Maqqam as a vibration and frequency and focusing on the parts of our bodies that they resonate with to bring us back to a state of equilibrium and balance.
Whilst this research has been mainly on pause , and picking up the oud , and working on my next single! I thought I’d put this out there in a way to start gaining some financial support for my creative projects and my music goals. Especially with releasing, promoting, working on my next single and funding my next music video!
