Leading Lights - one spark at a time

Today’s youth are the most educated generation in history, yet many face job market challenges due to a disconnect between education and workforce demands. A study of 15-year-olds across 79 countries highlights the need for educational systems to evolve, emphasizing skills like curiosity, empathy, and resilience. Charles Yidan, Co-Founder of Tencent, advocates for redefining education through career guidance and collaboration between schools and employers to prepare learners for a rapidly changing world.


Despite higher education levels, young people often aspire to a limited set of popular careers, as surveys from 41 countries show increasing concentration on the same top 10 career choices. This trend suggests a need for greater exposure to diverse career paths to unlock broader opportunities.

A passionate corporate trainer in the making, Zhoriif actively pursues constant upskilling and shares his knowledge through tutoring and speaking engagements at platforms like the Lifelong Learning Centre. Beyond his role at Mavensdotlive, he co-founded everBetter Innovations, a startup focused on streamlining business processes through data-driven solutions.
