Cards Against Anxiety.
Let it rip.
If you find your thoughts are controlling you, rather than you controlling them, here is an easy way to get that clutter out of your head. Write it down and then rip it up! Putting your thoughts onto paper makes it easier to see how illogical they can sometimes be. And though it is easy to have the same thought over and over again in your mind, writing it down is a slower process and takes more effort, which can have the effect of calming you down.
Step 1 - Get a pen and paper. Go somewhere quiet where you can sit down and spend a few minutes alone.
Step 2 - Write down everything you are thinking. Start writing all the clutter that is circulating in your mind right now. Yes all of it! The embarrassing thoughts, the nasty thoughts, the scary thoughts, the big ones, the real ones and the hurtful ones. Keep writing until it is all out.
Step 3 - Rip up the paper. Tear it, tear it and tear it some more. Throw the pieces in the bin, preferably an outside bin and take a deep breath (or 4!) before going back inside.
