WWF Superstars - April 25, 1997

Feb 04, 2023

It’s time once again for that syndication delight!

Our first victim - I mean enhancement talent - is Ron Cumberledge. Who is he competing against?

Oh poor Ron, he drew RIC FLAIR as his opponent. Mr. Perfect leaves the broadcast booth to second his man. Don’t be shocked, but Flair wins.

WWF Update covers more things you can only see on the WrestleMania VIII video tape, including former enemies Jake Roberts and Rick Martel now sitting side by side.

Kevin Krueger does not seem confident.

He was right not to be confident, as the British Bulldog handles him easily.

Beverly Brothers face a team that didn’t really get names, but their in-screen video is busy trying so hard to get “Legion of Sissies” over.

This is complete with giving one of their jobbers a LOD makeover.

We hit the green screen portion of the show for a response.

One of my very favorites, Repo Man, has some general threats.

Is George Anderson ready to topple the Heartbreak Kid?

He absolutely was not. That’s good, because it gives us this hot little thing where Shawn pushes Sherri to the ground to pose while he does his thing.

On newsstands now, WBF Magazine! For those who WANT IT.

Green screen time again with the Tornado…

And the Nasties.

We’re at the top of the chain this week, as the Brooklyn Brawler is ready to get a win.

Unfortunately, Sgt. Slaughter denies the win.

Our spotlight interview this week is with Sid Justice and Dr. Harvey Wippleman, issuing a challenge to the Ultimate Warrior that won’t really happen.

Ladies and gentlemen, Shawn Michaels has now left the building.

Maybe we shouldn’t discount the two dads here.

Well… discounted it is.

Skinner can’t believe he’s having to complete for chances.

Tatanka cuts his typically 1992 promo.

Big battle this week as the Undertaker faces the Bezerker, but it never really gets going as…

Mr. Fuji steals the urn as a distraction…

Bezerker attempts murder…

… and Taker takes a piledriver to the cement floor. Fans, we’ll update you more on this next week on Superstars!
