~4 years ago, the stupid ASUS RGB software broke on my PC, and I was never able to get past the inscrutable "INSTALLATION SUPPORT FILE COULD NOT BE INSTALLED – CATASTROPHIC FAILURE" error every time I tried to reinstall their garbage app. I basically gave up, and I've been living with my GPU permanently set to an ugly, piss-yellow color. For whatever reason, today I dove back in and tried to fix it. I got precisely nowhere until I found your handy tip, which worked perfectly. Thank you!
