Emerging from the park, the nearby Celisioso cafe beckoned, promising a reprieve from the unforgiving heat. I settled into a chair of the well-airconditioned cafe, and cooled down while embracing a hot cappuccino.
My gaze shifted to the array of colorful cakes adorning the counter, each one a vibrant work of art in itself. Their elaborate designs evoked a sense of childlike wonder within me.
With each sip and every bite of my slice of banana bread, the world regained its balance. The scorching sun quickly became a mere backdrop to the beauty I had encountered this morning.
