All of us Land Rover enthusiasts on hand are grateful to Doug for taking time to discuss his Camel Trophy experiences, recovery skills and share his diabolical side. I first met Mike McCaig 28 years ago. While I began my Land Rover journey 6 years prior, the occasion of my introduction to McMike, his dear wife Nancy, wonderful children Sarah and Adam at my first MAR in 1996 at their home "Penlan Farm", set my course for the future and this "disease" that we all share. I am proud to say that Mike is the one who I hold most dear in our Land Rover community. Thank you for introducing your podcast listeners to the joyful delight of all the remarkable moments that Mike has touched us over the past 49 years - who will join me at the 2025 MAR to celebrate 50 years of ROAV? To celebrate the person I hold in the highest regard, I would like to suggest 28 brown waters are in order to commemorate each of the years I have been blessed to know Mike and his family. It just doesn't get any better than this!
