Robothingus MK-I (2012)

An Arduino based robotics project I did with my kids back before they grew up and moved out. This one was articulated like a fire truck, had many sensors including dual servo mounted PIR (passive infra red), several sonar and more.  Note the braided black cord - that is a custom stretch sensor which provided 'neck' extension info by reading the changing resistance.  The plan was to continue development by adding NRF or BT so as to offload the main processing to an rPi and then eventually to a cloud processing solution of some sort.   Nowadays one could easily use cloud hosted AI learning for some cool experiments.
