I won't ever forget the way i felt exploring the Beatles catalogue for the first time in the late noughties. Although i was a bit late to the party, i made it there in the end. Everyone knows the Beatles, they transcend music through time and sixty years later they are still well loved and admired around the world, or should i say across the universe.
Listening intently to every song on every Beatles album was some of the most enjoyable musical experiences of my life. They are undoubtably the reason i love music so much and they started my true musical discovery. Sure i liked music before the late noughties, but i wasn't obsessed by it the way i am now.
The Beatles music made me want to pick up a guitar and learn how to play but they also made me keen to explore new music, which is why i decided to start my blog, the 1001 Albums Journey, using the 1001 albums to hear before you die book (2016 edition) as my bible. It has been fun so far but we have a long way to go before we reach 1001.
You're more than welcome to come on this journey with me. Through multiple genres and decades and maybe, just maybe, we'll find new artists that we didn't even know we liked.
