About Big Zesty | Zesty EDC
Welcome to the Zest-Fest! ☕
I’m Jay, but around here, I go by Big Zesty.
I’m a senior IT professional, a two-time Army combat veteran, a husband, a father, and—most recently—a grandfather. For years, I’ve been obsessed with Everyday Carry (EDC) gear. My drawers are full of it. Some of it is incredible; some of them are... well, "stinkers."
Real Gear for Real Dads
I didn't start Zesty EDC to be a professional gear tester. I started it to show you what’s actually in my pockets and on my shelves.
This isn't about chasing the latest $300 titanium trend. This is about the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of a real-world collection. I’m just a guy sharing what I’ve bought with my own money—helping the "Average Joe" find gear that is functional, affordable, and practical for life’s everyday missions (like fixing a toy, opening a box, or surviving a weekend soccer game).
If I own it, I’ll show it to you—the honest truth included.
Why Support Zesty EDC?
I’m building this community to help us regular guys carry better gear without the "tacticool" snobbery. By "buying me a coffee," you’re helping me keep the lights on in the studio and keep the collection growing so I can share more finds with you.
No pressure, ever. I'm just glad you're here. If you find my collection tours helpful and want to help fuel the next video, I truly appreciate the support.
What’s in it for you?
Beyond the caffeine, supporters get access to my "Zesty Vault":
Coming Soon: The Big Zesty Blog: Deep-dive updates on what I'm currently carrying and what's coming to the shelf next.
Coming Soon: Zesty Cheat Sheets: Downloadable guides for the "Average Joe," like my Blade Steel Guide and Knife Anatomy 101.
Coming Soon: The Inner Circle (Memberships): Exclusive access to my full show notes, video recaps, and AI-powered deep-dive podcasts for the die-hard gear fans.
Thanks for stopping by, and remember: Always be Zesty.
