Recently, I overheard a couple of strangers discussing one of their current issues they were dealing with. The lady told the gentlemen that she was going to have to figure out how she can continue to pursue her passion with martial arts and continue to work her job with the longer hours.

The gentlemen responded that she would just have to let one go, and that She would have to decide what is more important to her. Immediately in my mind, and against my general view of the matters of life, I found myself startled to a form of bitter disagreement with every bit of this gentlemen's advice. And then a notion came to me and struck a chord...

Just as the woman began to agree and concede her opinion as being in accordance with the gentleman's own, I thought to myself, "Have people really reached a plateau in their understanfing at such a young age?"

I then realized that I see this daily and almost never give it a second thought. Afterball of these years of being alive and experiencing so much along my journey, the fact that people reach a plateau in there understanding and wait for, and more times than otherwise, reach for consent from others to remain on the level that they have reached that very barrier, that their glass cieling was unbreakable for them in their mind and they were really trying to get validation and acceptance of that condition rather than growing beyond what is normal to them. In other words, they were satisfied in hearing it from others that they were only going to elevate at the same level as those they know.

And you know what? That is exactly where they will be found in many years from now, that same level. Had the lady really burned with desire to continue to pursue her passion with her martial arts, she would have explored in her mind all possibilities that she could concieve of to make that a reality. But, she was very much unwilling to do so because it would likely mean that she wouldnhave to go back to the beginning and early choices, career and lifestyle choices, and that would take a lot of work and hard truths to accept. Most people would never do that, and that is why so few ever really achieve self actualization on the highest levels, those highest plateaus of understanding; those peaks of sanctuous wisdom.

My own opinion is that why not put the same discipline, focus, and effort into her financial foundation as she does her martial art foundation? Life is multi faceted and never the total of a single discipline. Now imagine how much more she could pursue her passions if money was not a limiting facet for her.
