My name is Raya. During a difficult season of my life, when I was going through a difficult, "existential" time in my life, and my one solace was singing. A friend encouraged me to post recordings on YouTube, privately at first. I made the choice to post my music publicly, and was overwhelmed by the positive reception, even though I felt so heavily the weight of my own unprofessionalism!
It seems like Gregorian and ancient song has a kind of power that brings peace to people's lives. In a world so obnoxiously loud and busy, I'd love for my channel to be a kind of oasis one can return to in order to experience peace, beauty, and connection with our loving Creator and the world beyond the veil.
