Fourth Wall Folkestone is a Community Interest Company based in Folkestone's Creative Quarter. Drawing upon both art and research, Fourth Wall Folkestone produces a programme of accessible events and activities that use creative methods to open up dialogue. 

Our main areas of focus are mental health, women's health and diet culture. We put people with lived experience at the centre of our work and act as a conduit between our community and the field of academic research in order to affect change. 

Fourth Wall Folkestone was established in 2021 by artist researcher Sarah Lloyd - a self identifying fat woman with a long term (chronic) invisible condition. She is a neurodivergent with a diagnosis of dyslexia, bipolar and EUPD. Inclusivity and accessibility are at the core of everything we do.

As of February 2026, Fourth Wall Folkestone moved away from its previous bricks and mortar location. It is embracing a new nomadic format where our projects will pop up in other locations around Folkestone.

As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company we still rely on funding and donations to keep these projects happening.
