Happy April everyone! I promise, no April Fools jokes over here.
I know things going on lately have been... well, a lot. And I've been doing a lot of thinking about what I can do aside from being upset and overwhelmed by current events. There are so many issues in our world right now, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and pulled in a lot of directions at once. So for my mental health I had to decide somewhere to personally try and make a difference.
(And just to be clear, just because I picked one topic does not mean I don't care about a whole lot of others. I am an LGBTQ+ Jewish descendent of immigrants - there is a lot to be worried about these days!)
As a nature artist, I have decided environmental activism is something I can combine with my art. I am still looking into organizations I can work with, and welcome any suggestions. First, I plan to attend my local protests and speak up for our public lands.
In that spirit, I have created a protest poster that is this month's download. Please enjoy, print, share and protest! If you're willing to send me a dollar or two to help offset the design process it's appreciated, but most importantly let's get out there!

In other general updates, thank you to all my new followers and people who found me at Florida Renaissance Festival this year! It was such a wonderful welcome and I am still energized and inspired.
I made a lot of new pieces last month! In leather art. there are my leaping orca's called "Joy" as my newest piece. Prints will be available from Wyrd and Witchy soon!
I have also been having a lot of fun making leather nature art pins, now that I've really figured out how to take my drawings into my new laser cutter. So I plan on new designs for every show I go to! Right now I am working on a design for Virginia Renaissance Festival.
I have also decided this year to work on getting some of those long running projects closer to complete. In that vein, follow me on social media and join me in my Unfinished Fridays round up! The four unfinished projects I am currently focused on are:
100 Celebratory Witch hats - Currently at 34/100 complete
Street Cat Sketches - Plan to create a small book. 3(ish) drawings left to go.
Magical Herbalism - Plan to compile into a large book by DragonCon 2025!
Flora and Fauna Tarot - 4/78 cards currently drawn. I promise I will start sharing this soon!
