Fieldnotes is for you if....

Fieldnotes is for you if....

Apr 09, 2025

When I began building Fieldnotes, I focused on creating resources and teaching skills to nondenominational ministry workers in their first few years on the field. I believe that if you start smart you can stay well, whether your time in vocational ministry lasts a year, a few, or a lifetime.

My resources are primarily created for those who are new to the field (the first five years of ministry). But Fieldnotes is also for:

  • those who are “well intentioned” but don’t have great systems.

  • for those who wonder "how to write a newsletter," "how to maintain partnerships," and "how to talk about what I'm doing."

  • those who have SO much to say but don’t know how to say it.

  • for those who have no systems in place and want a nudge in the right direction.

  • for those who have good systems in place but want the encouragement and accountability of a community of people to do it with.

Fieldnotes is the place where you can gain skills, get encouragement and find training to do ministry communication well. Partner communication doesn't "just happen," but like any relationship, it is work worth doing! Follow along to gain skills to steward your partnerships well.

P.S. Fieldnotes for Ministry Workers is a branch of Wordsmith Services, a writing and editing business I run to help people communicate with confidence.
