First off, thank you for joining this community of trying to educate our country on what is actually going on in our country. My goal when building This Bill, Explained was to create a lane for myself to get into public policy while pursuing my Masters in Software Engineering. I didn't expect this to get a big as it has gotten and I'm tackling as much as I can to make sure all users have a great experience on the site and are properly informed through all social channels.
I started this project about 2 weeks ago and we're already close to 10K followers on Threads! (at the time of this we are exactly 9,268 followers). And with growth, the eyes will be locking in closer. I will strive to keep TBE as neutral and accurate as possible. It's just me, but the goal is to build a small team of volunteers who are as passionate as I am. TBE is platform, but I see bigger things for it in the future.
Second, I want to thank the two followers, Crystal and Joshua who've bought me a coffee to show support for the project!!!
While the project is free, it doesn't and can't run on air lol. Proceeds will go toward supporting the database cost, hosting, API and other things to keep TBE free for now. The next goal would be grants and other funding that align with the mission of TBE.
