Virgin Wines has launched another strong Velocity offer, and this one is a great option if you want to pick up a cheap case of wine while collecting a solid amount of Velocity Points.
Velocity members can buy a dozen red, white or mixed wines for $89 plus delivery and receive 4,000 bonus Velocity Points, 3 Velocity Points per $1 spent, and three bonus bottles of Ulithorne Prospera McLaren Vale Shiraz, valued at $165 RRP and must be purchased through the official Velocity landing page here
That means you are getting 15 bottles of wine in total: the 12-bottle case, plus the three bonus McLaren Vale shiraz bottles. The value stacks up well. On the $89 wine spend, you should earn 4,000 bonus Velocity Points, plus the standard 3 Velocity Points per $1 spent. As delivery is excluded from the standard points earn, this works out to an additional 267 Velocity Points, giving you around 4,267 Velocity Points in total.
This is a very strong return for an $89 wine purchase, especially when you factor in the three bonus shiraz bottles. Before delivery, the wine works out to less than $6 per bottle, while also collecting more than 4,000 Velocity Points and honestly the wines are pretty nice.
The three bonus bottles are Ulithorne Prospera McLaren Vale Shiraz, with a stated RRP of $165 and a solid 4.0 rating on Vivino. If these bottles are unavailable, Virgin Wines may provide a similar substitute wine with an equal or higher RRP.
Last year’s Virgin Wines Velocity offer allowed multiple case purchases, but I checked this year’s offer and it does not appear to allow multiple purchases in the same way.
This year, it looks like the deal is limited, so it is worth assuming this is a one-case style offer per Velocity member unless the checkout terms state otherwise, I mean its always worth a try?
