Why I Stopped Borrowing Backgrounds 2

Why I Stopped Borrowing Backgrounds 2

Oct 15, 2025

I’ve always believed that every part of a design — even its background — tells a story. When I create logos or brand visuals, I want every element to feel like mine. But I often found myself searching online for backgrounds to use in my presentations. As much as I admired the work of others, I wanted to build a world that was fully my own.

So, I decided to start creating my own abstract backgrounds. I went on Pinterest, studied different techniques, experimented, and let myself play. Honestly, this first collection — these ten pieces — were just me trying things out. But somewhere in those trials, something clicked. They turned out better than I expected, and more importantly, they felt like me.

This collection isn’t about perfection. It’s about process — about learning, exploring, and creating from a place of curiosity and joy.

These abstract designs can be used in so many creative ways — as desktop or mobile wallpapers, as presentation or design backgrounds, or even as art prints or wall murals. They’re free to download and use, so you can make them a part of your own creations too.
