Myopia 2020

Myopia 2020, Taehwa River Eco Art Festival 2020 (태화강국가정원).

Some reflections from October 2020.

A note on perspective:
One of the most important aspects in my work that I constantly think about and always try to promote, is to assess things from various points of views. To acknowledge that we hold a singular perspective of a situation, a place or a point of view.

Considering other views, physically and figuratively is key to understanding others and the world that we live in. In order to consider other views we must first mark where we are, how we see, what it is that we see and our limitations and support that allow us to have a particular experience.

Self enquiry and assessing our own thoughts or practices in a world which processes billions of thoughts through various media by the second, is an asset to connecting with others.

Just importantly we can take note of how our thoughts, personality and decision making skills are formed. We can note the effects on us and our practice of our loved ones or those we look up to.

A note of appreciation: If it wasn't for the calm hands and technical skills (and advice of my father) this project would have taken 3 times longer. If it wasn't for the images that my sister caught with her trained eye, we wouldn't be able to discuss the work so easily.

Teamwork, family, connections- that's the goal and I am thankful for the support, the love and the skill sharing.

Love to all.
