A bit of behind-the-scenes reality for you all today. On a good day, I’ll spend hours packing up the heavy rig, riding out to a hilltop spot, and setting up for a pristine two-hour session. I thought this was one of those days.
I was absolutely gutted to realise later that my Tascam X8 didn't roll. Apparently, if you press the record button whilst changing a microphone's settings, it just ignores the command.
But it wasn't a total loss! The Sony A6700 was running and managed to salvage the audio. It’s definitely nowhere near the immersive quality of the Clippy set, but I couldn't bring myself to throw away the footage from such a brilliant location. Thanks as always for supporting the journey, technical hiccups and all!
