Forge & Fleet — Update 0.3.14

Estimated Release: Sunday, 26 July 2026 AEST

This update focuses heavily on preparing Forge & Fleet for its upcoming Beta release. It introduces new privacy and age-verification systems, native Android updates, account deletion support, a rebuilt authentication system, and major connection stability improvements.

☕ New

  • Added a privacy notice that appears when a player first logs into the game.

  • Added a chat rules notice that appears when a player uses chat for the first time.

  • Chat is no longer available to players under the age of 13.

  • Added an age-bracket verification system.

    • The game can verify a player's age bracket through several different methods.

    • Where available, this uses the age-verification APIs provided by Google and Apple.

    • When these APIs are unavailable, the player will be asked to select their age bracket manually.

  • Added the native Android in-game update system.

  • Added support for players to delete individual characters or their entire account.

    • Deleting a character or account permanently removes its associated data, including any purchased items attached to it.

    • Players will receive clear warnings and confirmation prompts before deletion.

  • Created the backend and client systems required for in-app purchases in preparation for purchases becoming available in-game.

🔄 Improvements

  • Reworked several backend systems in preparation for the Beta release.

  • Maxed-out Research now always displays the colour of its highest tier rather than the colour of the tier containing its final upgrade.

  • Improved Fleet War error handling.

    • The Fleet War interface should now open and display an appropriate error instead of showing a blank panel when an issue occurs.

  • Operations that end early because of a disconnection, desync, or similar issue will now refund their entry cost.

  • Improved false-positive detection in the client crash and hang telemetry service.

  • Island Siege now automatically assigns a lane to every Fleet member at the beginning of the day.

  • Android devices can now display a native Google Play update prompt without requiring players to leave the game.

  • Replaced the previous authentication system with an entirely new system in preparation for account linking.

  • Completely rebuilt the connection and reconnection systems.

    • Connections should now be more stable.

    • Fixed several situations where players previously needed to restart the game before they could reconnect.

  • Removed an outdated anti-cheat system that could cause players to desync during login and replaced it with a new system.

🎨 Art and Visual Effects

  • Expanded the capabilities of the projectile-trail pipeline.

  • Updated the projectiles used by many skills.

  • Improved the performance of ship and skill visual effects.

  • Continued updating the visuals for Vael's Day 6 and Day 7 encounters.

⚖️ Balance

Balance changes for this update are still being finalised.

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Island Siege lane battles could incorrectly resolve as the entire attacking Fleet fighting the entire defending Fleet.

  • Fixed an issue that caused Island Siege to always display the perspective of one Fleet, even when it was not the player's Fleet.

  • Fixed an issue that could leave players stuck inside Island Siege operations.

  • Fixed a desync that could occur when attempting to view another Fleet while the player was unable to join Fleets.

Thank you to everyone supporting and testing Forge & Fleet while it remains in active development. The feedback and reports provided during these early builds are helping us prepare the game for Beta.
