Firecracker literally “cracks” people open. It makes them giggle and laugh again. It helps them to be spontaneous, which leads them naturally to creativity and enjoyment of life in all its facets. It opens one up for a healthy sexual relationship with oneself and others and it unleashes the vitality and power for an active, abundant and interesting life.
The characteristics of Firecracker
In a sea of green leaves, the intense orange flowers of this vine are blooming in the dry season. The flowers are long, narrow and tube-like. When the weather, after the rainy season, turns cooler and dry, the flowers start to bloom. They will eventually cover the whole green vine, which often is planted along fences, and it turns into seemingly thousands of little flames that set the whole vine on fire. The flowers become a bright attraction when other plants and trees lose their leaves. They are a joyful gift from Mother Gaia, a symbol healing power and total abundance.
When the tube of the flower is closed, it looks like the finger of a glove or it can be seen as a phallic symbol. It suddenly “cracks open” and releases the filament with the precious pollen. This vine is surrounded by honeybees and other insects waiting for the opening to receive the nectar of this unique flower.
The Firecracker essence helps those who are concerned about a problem and can’t figure out a solution. It essence brings joy to the breakthrough of a problem and literally cracks us open to the joy and laughter in life to releases suppressed emotions. Things then are not taken so seriously anymore because people can feel joy and see the bright side of life again. Old boundaries melt away like snow in the sun and creative solutions to problems arise. People are able to focus better and be open to both, inspiration and ease in the processes of the thinking mind. It brings out an individual’s creativity
People who need Firecracker essence are passionate and powerful by nature but they might have suppressed themselves as result of a dogmatic education. The essence acts like spontaneous combustion to burn away such blockage and release suppressed power.

The blocked Firecracker personality
Blocked Firecracker Weed types are stuck in their minds and resemble the flower before it opens and looks a bit like a cocoon. Their unresolved problems are locked up and hold back, afraid to show what one has. These people are afraid of their own power and are not able to develop confidence and charisma which is, in fact, their true nature.
Often they are stuck in their minds continuously thinking about problems to eventually end up in a vicious circle and not solving anything. They worry about the results and lack action and are too “closed” and therefore too serious to see the joy and fun in life.
People with blocked Firecracker personalities are emotionally suppressed; they can’t release anger, frustration or aggression and are trapped in the illusion of being caught in the darkness of the cocoon. However, no matter how much they suppress their energy, we can still recognize their strong and intense nature from their appearance or behavior.
For example, they may have itchy, red or burning skin problems, which are symptoms of the intense energy within. If their aggression continues to be repressed beyond tolerance level, they may explode in rage and react in dangerous ways, like hurting themselves or others, even though they normally appear to be gentle and quite ‘nice guys’.
Blocked Firecracker person often also are sexually suppressed. They may have strong sexual drive but suffer from sexual guilt and as a result, they feel ambivalent and cannot enjoy sex. Clinically, sexual guilt may lead to lethargy after sex, sexual addictions and perversions and obsessive - compulsive disorders.
Flame Vine doesn’t have a distinct trunk like a tree and depends on something to climb on like a fence or porous wall. Blocked Firecracker personalities do not have a strong “back bone”, sense of self-identity or purpose. They might cling to something out of habit, even if they don’t really like it, because they doubt themselves and don’t have a clear direction. This might result in insecurity and dependence.
In the blocked Firecracker state, people become needy, cowardly and submissive, because they are not living up to their purpose, potential and potency. They have a great need for security and structure, since they live in fear and feel they are not able to handle impermanence, which is the nature of life itself. This fear limits their life force, talents and expression of passion.
The blocked Firecracker state is often rooted in a childhood characterized by excessively strong, abusive or violent parenting. The abuse may not be physical but the imposition of strong moral principles, which restrict spontaneous action and creativity. This, in later life, leads to repression on all levels. The child was brainwashed to believe that it can’t do anything without guidance, supervision and approval from a “superior”, whoever that might be!
