My name is Paul and I live an alternative lifestyle aboard our Narrowboat in England with the lady of the boat Lee and our mad Parsons Jack Russell terrier called Hector the Mighty Hound. We have started this new project by request of our followers on one of our YouTube Channels (Hannah the Narrowboat). They have been asking for ages for us to start a podcast so we thought why not? Sanity Bypass was the name chosen for several reasons the first being that it was the name I go under when I commercially release my music. The name came about as a result of myself thinking the world had lost it's mind and that's what a lot of my music is about although I do also write lots of instrumental stuff - the vast majority of the music in our vlogs are original compositions by yours truly.
Now that we are starting a new journey with podcasting we did not want to use the name Hannah the Narrowboat because that suggests we will be talking mainly about boating and that is not what we want to do at all! Instead we thought Sanity Bypass would work as it's a natural progression of what the name was used for in the first place, and that is talking about the madness of the world. We will be putting a humorous spin on our day to day life as well as talking about the major issues. We will throw in a bit of music as well as the odd interview with other people who choose a similar alternative lifestyle to ourselves.
It's very early days for this project (in fact we have not even recorded a podcast) and we hope many of you will join us. On this page we will be offering digital downloads of some of the music I write and whatever else comes to mind. Most are totally free but you are more than welcome to make a donation to the cause as we need to pay for all the gear, hosting and other running costs that make all this possible.
Once the first podcast is live (it will go on all the major podcasting services and we may also upload them to our Sanity Bypass YouTube channel) we will announce it here and on our main website http://www.sanitybypass.co.uk
We will also be setting up some new social media profiles for this adventure but be aware, we won't touch Facebook and have already switched personally over to MeMe which is such a better place to be! We may set up a Twitter but even that platform riles us a bit now so perhaps we will use GETTR. We love supporting these alternative social media platforms and wish that more people would do the same!
