Love June in Aberdeen

May 21, 2023

June is going to be an exciting and bustling month for us. We love this time of year because it means we witness incredible new things happening in the city and share these fantastic events with all of you.

First and foremost, we want to express our gratitude for your support in sharing our coverage. Your enthusiasm and engagement mean the world to us. Simply spreading the word about the events we cover brings us immense joy and fulfilment.

However, if you are in a position to donate, we would be incredibly grateful for your help in sharing the costs. Every contribution, no matter how small, goes a long way in ensuring we can continue delivering quality coverage and highlighting the best of what the city has to offer.

Now let's dive into what we're eagerly looking forward to in June.

Nuart Aberdeen is set to captivate us once again. The 2023 edition of this renowned festival will focus on 'rewilding.' We can expect to witness the creation of awe-inspiring artworks throughout the city, including large murals and intriguing installations. The talented artists participating in this year's festival will be unveiled soon, promising a breathtaking display of creativity.

Another event that has us thrilled is Gray's Degree Show 2023. This exhibition showcases the remarkable talents and accomplishments of the final-year students at Gray's School of Art. It's a joyous celebration of their creative journeys and a significant milestone in their academic careers. Visitors can explore a range of disciplines, such as Painting, Contemporary Art Practice, Fashion and Textiles, Communication Design, 3D Design, and Photography. The entire school will be transformed into a gallery space, providing a unique and immersive experience to engage with these emerging artists and designers.

Immerse yourself in a vibrant celebration as Aberdeen Performing Arts presents the highly anticipated Light the Blue festival. From June 10 to 18, this festival takes place across six venues and promises to be its biggest and most ambitious edition. Light the Blue offers activities suitable for young people aged 5 to 25. Prepare to be dazzled by an extraordinary lineup. This includes music, film, dance, workshops, and drama. This dynamic festival assembles world-class performers with the region's most talented young creatives, ensuring an unforgettable experience.

As we anticipate the exciting events lined up for June, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support, whether through sharing our coverage or contributing to our efforts. Your involvement makes a significant difference, and we are truly thankful for your continued support. Let's embrace this vibrant month together and revel in the incredible experiences awaiting us.
