Briefly about how we generally live in a state of permanent stress.

imageBriefly about how we generally live in a state of permanent stress. Because during rare intervals when there's no natural stress, nobody's yelling, getting sick, or dying, the brain starts to feel uncomfortable and immediately invents various exciting adventures. Well, to avoid getting used to a calm everyday life.

For example, yesterday. We took the dogs out for a walk in the fields in the evening.

At 1 AM, my mom ran to me with a flashlight on her head, shouting, "Smart is missing!!!" Her eyes are wild, and her tone is escalating into panic.

I leap out of bed (just as I was hit by a horse earlier, so I was lying quietly, but I jumped out very energetically).

And off we go, combing the area around the houses.

Smart has a quirk: sometimes, for some reason, he can hide under a piece of slate and peek out at us in horror and not come when called. Probably thinking, "Oh dear, they're so weird!.."

Once, we were searching for him like this, and it turned out he had sneaked into the raspberry bushes and managed to get tangled in a string tied around a raspberry branch. It had looped around his neck, and luckily, he just sat there, not struggling much, barking (I was wondering why Smart was barking behind the house for hours?).

That's our exciting dog.

So, we're running around looking for Smart. It's night, the nightingale is singing, stars in the sky. And mom's cries: "Tanya!!! Tanya!!!!! Maybe we forgot him in the field???" And judging by the increasing panic in her shouts, there will soon be a corpse in the plot)) I'm getting annoyed: "How?? We counted twice: 8 dogs! We count when they jump into the car and return home." But I'm thinking to myself: we forgot, darn.

Curfew, can't take the car out anymore.

Okay, I say calmly. Let's wear our boots, grab flashlights, and walk through the fields. No one will see us there. We'll reach that field in 20 minutes. We need to take weapons, just in case. Never know. Mom went to find gear for the trek. Luch started growling because he wasn't taken on the trip, and I checked all corners again, even ran to the stable, and searched for the horses.

When almost everything was ready to go out, it turned out that Smart, scared by our preparations in his honor, had curled up under Dad's feet under the computer desk. Dad, sitting on the dog, said, "I haven't seen your Smart."

At 2 AM, everyone was very awake but happy, laughing through tears of joy as they dispersed to their beds.

And that's how it goes, darn it, every day. 🙈
