NEW YORK--Brooks announced Friday that the Seattle based athletic footwear brand has signed Paris Olympian Juliette Whittaker to a contract, and that she will compete for the Brooks Beasts starting with Friday's first round of the women's 800 at the Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island.
Whittaker (Johnny Pace/Brooks Running photo) comes to the Beasts as a three-time NCAA champion at Stanford, an eight time All American, as well as an Olympic finalist in Paris, where she finished seventh.
She left Stanford as its school record holder indoors and outdoors over 800 meters, as well as the school record holder in the indoor mile. She also was part of three school records in the distance medley relay and the 4 x 400.
In a prepared statement on the team's social media platform, Brooks Beasts head coach Danny Mackey said, “I have been following Juliette’s career since she was in high school, and all throughout Stanford. And we got to meet during the recruiting process. She is a fantastic athlete and I feel confident she will thrive on the Beasts and we can help her reach the next levels together.”
Her current personal bests are 1:57.76 in the 800, 4:05.78 over 1500, 2:37.54 in the 1000, and 4:30.92 in the mile.
She joins Arkansas' 2026 NCAA outdoor 800m champion Sanu Jallow-Lockhart and Virginia's Gary Martin as the newest members of the Seattle based pro team.
Whittaker is represented by Flynn Sports, which represents several other athletes on the Brooks Beasts, including world mile record holder Josh Kerr.
