Warning: Death, murder, canon deaths.... gore?

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////

He shouldn't have left them alone.

He shouldn't have let those ghosts talk his ears off.

He should have stayed with his family. If only he stayed with them, things would have been different. Johnathan knew of the potential eventuality. He just did not know it was what he saw down that alleyway. There was so much red. His mother screaming out for Bruce to run before a loud shot drowned out Thomas Wayne's last gasps of life.

Johnathan watched as the killer took aim at his mother. He felt as if someone or something keeping him in place. Forcing him to watch on in horror. That seeping feeling of death surrounded him.

It was as if time itself forced him to stay in place. He had to move! Struggling to call out to his mom and Bruce to run. The feeling of someone covering his mouth muffled out his pleas. Something broke inside him when the monster took aim at Bruce.

"Let him kill the useless boy~"

"It's a shame Thomas was killed... should have first kill-"

They planned it.

They fucking planned this.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

"Bruce! Run!!!" Martha screamed as she pushed her youngest out of the way as another bang rang throughout the alleyway. Bruce watched in horror as his mother's pearl necklace fell apart just as her blood sprayed across. He didn't even notice as he's now covered in his mother's blood.

Bruce felt himself fall, unable to say anything or when he started to plead for his mom to wake up. His eyes swelled up with tears, choking out a sob as Martha Wayne chocked on her own blood as she attempted to speak. "Mo-mommy! Come o-on, get up... please get up..."

The moment that his mother stopped moving, Bruce sobbed uncontrollably. Sobs only growing as his parents killer approached him with his weapon drawn towards him. His eyes widened at the familiarity in the monster's eyes.

Acidic glowing green eyes. That appeared to be taunting him and the same ones he had seen on his own brother. Sobs only seemed to intensify as his thoughts went back to Johnathan and thinking this is why his parents made sure to keep them separated whenever... For a brief moment, he felt a chill run down his spine. His brother not once did anything to threaten the lives of their family.

Or did he and their parents kept that side of Johnathan away from himself... It had to be. It had to be-

"STAY AWAY FROM HIM!!!!"

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Bruce sat in the backseat of the Commissioner's vehicle, a blanket wrapped tightly around himself. People kept asking him questions on what had happened in the bloodied alleyway or what had happened to his parents, the monster that took his parents. As for his brother...

Brother Bruce shivered at the memory at the last time he had seen him.

Johnathan was nothing less than a monster himself. Bruce didn't realize when he had arrive. All he could recount is the screams of agony. The pleas for mercy as Johnathan brutalized the monster. Eyes no longer green are now just filled with confusion and horror. Horror was something he understood, the man was was getting teared apart limb by limb. The sounds of bones breaking forever ingrained in the back of his mind.

The confusion... that was something Bruce buried in the back of his mind. He still cannot get the screams out of his mind. The smell of iron is never ending.

"LET ME GO!!! I SAID LET ME GO!"

Bruce's eyes widen in horror as the screams of Johnathan demanding to be let go. Police officers and men dressed in white, were trying to detain the monster. His eyes glowing that ghastly green, hands... his hands were glowing. With each scream, Bruce shuffled deeper into the the backseat to avoid seeing the sight. Someone seemed to have answered his prayers as the commissioner closed the door shut, efficiently hiding him from the world outside. Yet, he could still hear the screams and demands for him.
