Hello, everyone! It's a snowy March morning here in Wisconsin where half the Owl's Nest Team resides—snowy, but bright, and we have a lot to do this week to get ready for the launch of SON OF THE DEEP on the 15th of March.
We turned around, and suddenly it was here! The launch of our first book! We've done so much to prepare, but still it feels like there so is much yet to do. So many more social media posts to prep, reviews to keep track of and promote, the final details of preparing the sales elements on our website, getting ready our SON OF THE DEEP book box, and more. But the overall atmosphere at Owl's Nest is one of excitement and anticipation: we've almost launched our first project into the world.
Of course, on top of launching the book is all the other work that is just increasing as time goes on, such as anticipation over some hopeful acquisitions, the next two 2022 releases we are actively working on, and more. We've hit a few bumps in the road, but what start-up business doesn't? We're a small team, but we're scrappy, and we've already come so far in a very short time. And probably most importantly, we're learning as we go so that the next book launch—and Owl's Nest in general—will be better and more stable in the future.
So the next week will be a flurry of pre-release work and excitement, and beyond that, we will be working hard on the next two books and looking ahead to hopefully making our first acquisition/s?? Stay tuned! We have big things coming just around the corner.
