Two pages per kanji: page 1 shows the meaning, on'yomi and kun'yomi readings, stroke count, numbered stroke order, tracing squares and free practice squares. Page 2 gives four example words with furigana over every kanji, English and Traditional Chinese meanings, writing squares for each word, and an example sentence.

The 121 kanji are grouped by meaning — numbers, calendar, people, body, position, school, nature, plants and animals, food, time, town, adjectives and verbs — so you learn words you can use straight away. After each group there is a review test: read the kanji, write the kanji, tell apart look-alike kanji, and read a short passage.
