I'm starting to get back into photography something I've been interested in for many years. But sometimes it's hard to know where to go so I turned to the Meetup site and found a few opportunities to get out, meet some like minded people, and capture some photos.
One of the meetups was with the Tucson Photography Group to enjoy a morning at the Sweetwater Wetlands. The meetup met there at 9am and after a few comments by the guide we set off around the wetlands looking for birds to capture. We were there about 2 - 3 hours walking around and capturing photos.
This was a great spot to see a variety of local birds in a location that was quite unexpected - it's literally off Interstate 10 behind an industrial looking area. It's a beautiful area to enjoy the peace and quiet of the wetlands and bird watch. In fact, I so enjoyed the wetlands, that I went and checked out a couple other local spots for birding that a couple people at the meetup suggested.
Next up will be an architecture photography meetup which I'm very much looking forward to this next photography outing.
