There are moments in every transformational journey where you feel like heaven has gone silent.
Your prayers hit a wall.
Your clarity fades.
Your strength drains.
And the path ahead feels unfamiliar and dim.
It is a strange, unsettling space, not quite darkness, not quite despair, but a quiet void where you feel disconnected from what once held you together.
This experience has a name:
Forsakenness.
But as Jesus demonstrated in His final moments on the cross, forsakenness is not abandonment.
It is the moment right before fulfillment.
When Christ cried out,
“My God, My God, why hast Thou forsaken Me?”
it wasn’t because God had truly left Him. It was because the old connection, the one tied to His earthly identity, earthly mission, and earthly life was collapsing.
It had to collapse.
The prophecy required it.
The resurrection required it.
The new creation required it.
Fulfillment could not emerge through an outdated connection point.
So the old wiring had to die for a new Source connection to infuse resurrection life.
In our own journeys, this same pattern echoes not symbolically, but psychologically and spiritually:
The silence you feel before fulfillment is often the collapse of an old spiritual connection
so a new one can be born.
Not punishment.
Not rejection.
Not divine distance.
But divine re-formation.
When it feels like God is quiet, it is often because:
your identity is shifting,
your internal foundation is restructuring,
your source of strength is upgrading,
your spiritual circuitry is being rewired,
your old power grid is collapsing,
and your new life is preparing to rise.
Forsaken doesn’t mean forgotten.
It means fulfilled but from a new center.
It means the old is truly finished.
It means resurrection is near.
It means new life is about to begin from a level you’ve never lived from before.
Forsakenness is not a failure of faith.
It is evidence that faith is transitioning into fulfillment.
You’re not losing God.
You’re losing a version of yourself that can’t carry your resurrection.
Fulfillment is not delayed.
It’s unfolding.
Not above you.
Not around you.
But within you.
Forsaken is not the end.
It is the moment right before “It Is Finished.”
It is the doorway into your new creation.
